The 17th Farm &
Country Fair in Aalten will be held at June 22, 23 and 24. This
big county show attracts more then 35,000 visitors from all over
Holland, Germany, Belgium and other European countries. Aalten
is situated in the east of Holland, just 30 minutes from Arnhem
and less then one hour driving from Düsseldorf.
An
interesting day in the country
The Farm & Country Fair
has grown into a fantastic day out for the whole family,
combining entertainment and fun with the opportunity to see the many
aspects of country life and farming. In the beautiful white pagodas
you'll find more then 350 trade stands selling a wide range of
quality products. From lovely art to furniture, unusual plants
to garden kitchens, fashion clothes to bed linen and even cars,
tractors and farming tools.
The big food
marquee is full of tasty and healthy natural food, often directly
from the producers. Special are the folly's in the woodlands next to
the Fair: unusual buildings with strange shapes.
See the
different breeds
Hundreds of
cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, chicken, horses, guinea pigs, donkeys
and even reindeer are displayed. The owners can provide you all information about their breeds.
Gardening
Trees for
woodlands and gardens, lovely roses and many unusual plants can be
found. Professional arrangers show how to make flower arrangements
and they love to tell you all their secrets.

At the Farm &
Country Fair you will find many trade stands with a huge variation
of decorations, furniture, kitchen tools, glasswork and everything
you need to change your house into a home. And find unusual clothes,
bijoux, perfumes and soaps for man, woman and children.
Art
Artists show
their work and can tell you everything about their skill. Look at
the beautiful paintings and hand made products made of glass, wood
or stone.
Program
There are
interesting and exiting programs in the five show rings every day.
Have a look at the huge birds of prey, the amazing shows with
horses, dogs or sheep. Unusual are the International Wool
Championships or the calf judging for children on the Saturday. Both
Saturday and Sunday you can see the European Miniature Horse
judging. Of course you won't miss the parade with antique prams, the
vintage car parade and the sheep race!
Music
from Brittain
Enjoy the
acoustic folk- and country music. The last few years for example the popular British folk band
Other Roads, the Paul McKenna Band,
Real Time, Colvin Quarmby, Pete Morton and The Doonan Family Band have played on the stage.

Also children
will have an exiting day at the Farm & Country Fair. There are a lot of adventures for children of every age.
